The Biak Gerygone (Gerygone magnirostris hypoxantha) is a subspecies of the Large-billed Gerygone, but it is sometimes considered a distinct species. It is endemic to West PapuaIndonesia.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moistshrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss; when it was still considered a good species, it was listed as Endangered by the IUCN[1]
